About Electricity
Electricity is the strain or tension set up by the two opposing desires of universal Mind thinking: the desire for balanced action and the desire for rest.
This electric universe is a complexity of strains caused by the interaction of these two opposing, interchanging electric desires.
All matter is electric. All matter is conditioned into greater or lesser strains according to the intensity of desire which is the cause of all electric strain to which it is subjected.
The farther removed from rest, the greater the strain or tension. That which we call high electric potential is merely great strain to maintain a condition which is far from the condition of rest.
The familiar return ball with which a child plays is a good example of electric strain. When the ball is thrown from the hand, the elastic gradually tightens to increase the tension of resistance to strain generated in the elastic. The strain continues to intensify until the ball comes to rest. When the ball returns, the strain gradually lessens until the ball again comes to rest in the child’s hand. When that happens, the strain and tension have been voided. Tension has not BECOME rest; it has ceased to be.
This whole electric universe is a complex maze of similar tensions. Every particle of matter in the universe is separated from its condition of oneness, just as the return ball is separated from the hand, and each is connected with the other one by an electric thread of light which measures the tension of that separateness.

Help

As scientific as he was, his main caveat is in order to understand Light and therefore electricity one has to have an understanding of the cause, the creator, of Light and electricity.
The degree to which one knows GOD (Cause) in him is the degree to which one can know The Secret of Light…
this might be considered an “issue” when it comes to atheistic scientists who are incapable of handling the addition of GOD/Cause into this reality, but not at all to anyone who is itnerested in any of this from a deeper level.
in order to understand Light one must understand what Light is and where it comes from and how it is within you and how to work with it 50/50 and so on.
im sure there are many scientists who would like to take a couple of russell sentences, switch them around to fit einstein and newton, and then go around being scientific, but they are missing the point totally.
well, all i can say is:
russell explains things in a russellian way, which also requires the growth of the individual receiving it, spiritual and mental growth. those who dont want to grow spiritually or mentally, will not be able to see any worth in what russell is saying, because it goes from scientific to metaphysical to divine. those who dont want to, see no worth in it, and the result to any mentions of caveats of “oh bugger, theres some god in this stuff.. im off!” is “so?”
Yeah, I guess I said that because of myself. I, for a long time, glossed over that caveat and went right into trying to understand what Russell was saying which I think is near impossible if you don't start with the acknowledgment of Cause inside you.
I have changed that focus and I feel I understand Russell more and more…to the degree I understand the Creator in me. In fact I'm really enjoying re-reading the Divine Iliad. I get it more deeply this time. I'm sure I've grown somewhat. The “tension” in understanding is less…
